A Great Design

My favorite scene ever is during dusk or dawn when distant mountains are hidden by the sun's casted shadows; layers of fog make for a mountainous crescendo. The sight is effortlessly picturesque. It's a work of art, and the beauty of it catches my breath every time.
It is evident an artist must have created those mountains. And the Artist must be a fascinating, intricate one. Surely if the mountains have a Creator, all of creation-in its complexity and wonder-has a Creator.
What stuns me, though, is that He could have stopped at mountains. They're majestic and look great with a sunset. But, that was not enough, as He created humankind...Wow. How cool to think the Creator, the Master of the universe was not satisfied with the mountains, so He made us. We are the crown of His creation...
In the beginning, the Creator made the heavens and the earth and saw that it was good. Then, He created humankind in His image; in His likeness. (Genesis 1)
The Master Artist designed us in His image. He has placed a part of Him in every single human being; which is amazing to wrap my mind around. That means, friends, we each embody a part of His character. As every work of art is an expression of its artist, you and I are designed to reflect Him. And the closer we bring ourselves to our blueprint Designer, the more we look and act like Him; the more we shine.
That is the beauty in everything. That is the great design.
